Catholic Educator Formation and Credential Program
The Catholic Educator Formation and Credential program prepares educators intellectually and spiritually to teach in the light of Christ, helping Catholic schools raise up the next generation of future saints.
The Institute for Catholic Liberal Education (ICLE) is offering a robust alternative to state teacher licensure: a credential program that prepares educators to infuse a deeply Catholic philosophy and practice of education into their teaching.
The CEFC is an 18-month program of five integrated courses delivered through in-person workshops and distance learning. The 2024-2025 program will be made available to employees of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City and the Diocese of Tulsa. A bachelor's degree is required. The program is limited to 40 teachers teaching grades K-12.
*Scholarships are available through the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City and the Diocese of Tulsa to cover the cost of tuition plus room and board. Award recipients will be expected to complete two years of service in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City or the Diocese of Tulsa after the program is completed. An educator who receives a scholarship for the CEFC program, completes the program serves subsequently for two years in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City would be free of any obligation.
