Donor Advised Funds

A Donor Advised Fund at the Catholic Foundation of Oklahoma is your personal charitable giving account. Donor Advised Funds are great options for those who want the flexibility to give to various ministries over time because they allow you to direct where and how often you want to give.

After opening your Donor Advised Fund, you simply contact us to make distributions from the fund. You can support your parish or other ministries you care about. The Catholic Foundation of Oklahoma manages the investment, administration, audit, and distribution process.
NOTE: Benefactors may choose a Non-Participating Donor Advised Fund, which does not participate in the foundation’s investment process. A Non-Participating DAF is not subject to the foundation’s administrative fee.

Facts about Donor Advised Funds at the Catholic Foundation of Oklahoma

• Minimum initial contribution: $10,000.
• Receive a tax deduction upon creating your DAF, extend your gifts to charities over several years.
• Minimum distribution: $250. Additional gifts may be made at any time, in any amount.
• One tax receipt each year instead of several.
• Distributions may be made to any 501(C) 3 charity that aligns with the teachings of the Catholic Church.
• You may name a second generation of advisors to the fund.
• The Catholic Foundation of Oklahoma team can help you identify ministries that align with your personal values and giving goals.
