Endowments at the Catholic Foundation of Oklahoma

What is an Endowment?

How Endowments Work

1. Establish an Endowment: 
   You can create a new endowment specifying the parish, school, ministry or cause you wish to support.
    
2. Contribute to an Existing Endowment: 
   You may also choose to contribute to one of the Foundation's existing endowments that align with your charitable goals.
    
3. Investment and Growth: 
   The Catholic Foundation's Board of Directors oversees the investment strategy to ensure long-term growth and stability of each endowment.
    
4. Ongoing Distributions: 
   Each year, a portion of the endowment's earnings is distributed, while the principal remains invested to grow over time.

  An endowment offers a unique opportunity to support your faith and values indefinitely, ensuring that the causes closest to your heart continue to thrive
   
• Support Catholic Causes: 
  Endowments can be designated for specific parishes, schools, ministries, scholarships or other Catholic organizations within the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City. 
   
• Perpetuate Your Faith: 
  By funding an endowment, you can be a part of the future of the Church, continuing to make a difference for generations to come.
  
  

Types of Endowments

1. Designated Endowment Fund: 
   Focus your giving on a specific organization, such as a school or parish.
   Examples: Archdiocese of Oklahoma City schools, parishes, food pantries, etc.
    
2. Field of Interest Endowment Fund: 
   Address broader needs like youth ministry or education. 
   Examples: Youth ministry, adult ministry, catechesis, education, pastoral music, etc.
