The Catholic Foundation of Oklahoma awards grants to support projects at Catholic churches in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City that are focused on advancing areas of Archbishop Coakley's Vision 2030 pastoral plan.
Grants are awarded for specific projects, based on:
In his Vision 2030 pastoral plan, Archbishop Coakley says it is "The deepest desire of my heart is to see the Church of central and western Oklahoma flourish as a community of faith that nurtures and raises up fervent missionary disciples." This vision guides the Foundation's grant evaluation process.
Grant Categories include:
The Catholic Foundation will fund up to 75% of the cost of a project, encouraging involvement of the local community. The amount awarded varies based on need and typically range anywhere from $1,000 - $10,000.
Grants are for future projects and not intended to reimburse past projects. The application period is from September 1 - October 2, 2022.
If a grant is awarded during this cycle, the project should be completed between February 1, 2023- September 30, 2023.
Grants are only to be used for the project specified in the application, as grants are awarded based on a competitive process. Not all requests will be funded.
A Grant Accountability Report must be submitted by September 30, 2023.
If your parish is applying for grants for multiple projects, please list the priority in the project name.
Priority will be given to parishes that have not previously received an award or have received less money than other parishes in the past.
